Hello, all past and
present Hydeware supporters. I hope this letter finds you all
doing well.
We, here at Hydeware, want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the support that you've given us for these last seven years. Those seven years have been an incredible experience, so it is with some sadness that we tell you that Hydeware must close its doors as its founders move on to pursue other opportunites in other parts of the country.
All of us involved in Hydeware from the beginning to the end had a profoundly wonderful time. We are so glad to have met and worked with the many people that were involved in the 25 shows that we produced while we were here, from the talented cast and crews to the faithful, adventurous audience members.
Over 7 seasons, we had a wonderful time bringing St. Louis hilarious productions such as Poona, Bleacher Bums, and Insignificant Others. We also thank St. Louis for letting us bring more serious shows to the region with productions such as The Zoo Story, The Fever, and The Iceman Cometh. And of course we have to thank the community for supporting all seven of our free Shakespeare in the Parks, starting in 1999 with our 3-actor Macbeth and bringing it full circle to end the tradition with the same production in 2007.
It's been a wild ride in St. Louis, and we really have all of you to thank for it by helping to support our alternative theatre. Thank you all again one last time, and thank you for supporting St. Louis theatre.
Goodbye, and we wish you all the very best.
